Juliana Cole doesn’t like to be labeled.
Singer/Songwriter, Juliana Cole doesn’t like to be labeled. Instead, she prefers to mesmerize the listener with her pure angelic voice, hooky eclectic melodies and lyrics that are personal yet universal. Juliana has an effortless way of darting from mainstream alternative pop to laid back acoustic grooves with remarkable ease.
As an artist/songwriter, Juliana has had her music placed on numerous TV networks including: ABC, NBC, HBO, FOX, TNT, The CW, MTV, VH1, LIFETIME, The WB, UPN and ABC Family. As a songwriter, Juliana has had dozens of songs cut by major label recording artists in several genres of music. She is the recipient of two prestigious ASCAP songwriter awards including the number one song titled, “That’s When I Love You” and was nominated for an Emmy, co-writing the song “Live For Today,” specifically written for the #1 rated morning show, The Today Show on NBC.
Juliana has been involved in the entertainment industry in a variety of ways. She was the voice of a National JCPENNEY Advertisement singing a song titled, “It’s A Charmed Life,” which debuted on the Academy Awards. Juliana has also co-written a National Literacy campaign song for Wal-Mart titled “Words are Your Wheels”, performed by Kenny Chesney, Sarah Evans, Brooks & Dunn, and Phil Vassar. In 2005, Juliana was honored to co-write a song titled “Why We Walk”, which eloquently paints the stories of breast cancer victims and survivors and was released in conjunction with a book published by Thomas Nelson Publishers in 2005. In the advertising/music world, Juliana’s song “Unbroken” performed by Jessica Sierra, an American Idol Finalist, was used in a Sony/Toys R’ Us National Promotion. Juliana has also performed coast to coast in venues ranging from The Bluebird Cafe’ in Nashville to The Whiskey in LA.
Currently, Juliana has many projects in the works. She just finished shooting her video, “I’m Not That Girl Anymore” in LA in conjunction with Film Fashion Music and Project Artisan. Also, Juliana has teamed up with Reviver Records and has recorded a Paul McCartney tune for a well-deserved Charity! She will be one of many artists involved in a compilation CD of McCartney tunes that will raise money for several breast cancer charities. This project is endorsed by Sir Paul McCartney himself and honors his late wife Linda McCartney who died of Breast Cancer. On November 7th, Juliana will perform at the Historic Ryman Auditorium along with the other artists involved in this amazing event! Juliana is also working with Craig Currier (Sr. Creative Director of Ad Markets-at Peer Music) on an ongoing music endeavor as a songwriter/ artist in the world of advertising.
