Singer-songwriter, Juliana Cole doesn’t like to be labeled. Instead, she prefers to mesmerize the listener with her pure, angelic voice, hooky eclectic melodies and lyrics that are personal yet universal. Juliana has a natural knack for writing songs that are diverse in style and genre, from TV/FILM placements, to songs that reach the top of the charts. Whether she’s writing for herself, or for another well-known or aspiring artist, Juliana loves the beautiful art of making music, and is grateful for the opportunity to share her gifts with the world!
As an artist, Juliana has had her music placed on numerous TV networks including: ABC, NBC, HBO, FOX, TNT, The CW, MTV, VH1, LIFETIME, The WB, UPN and ABC Family. As a songwriter, Juliana has had dozens of songs cut by major label recording artists in several genres of music. She is the recipient of three prestigious ASCAP songwriter awards including the number one song titled, “That’s When I Love You” performed by Phil Vassar. She was also nominated for an Emmy, for the original song “Live For Today,” specifically written for the #1 rated morning show, “The Today Show” on NBC. Most recently, Juliana co-wrote the theme song for ABC'S "Malibu Country" performed by and starring Reba McEntire, titled, “Goodbye Looks Good On Me.” In summer of 2014, this song was awarded for being one of the most played songs in TV and Film of the year. This song was also recorded as a hip-hop/country duet featuring Reba McEntire and Travie McCoy, and was featured on the show.
Juliana has been involved in the entertainment industry in a variety of ways. She was the voice of a National JC Penney advertisement singing a song titled, “It’s A Charmed Life,” which debuted on the Academy Awards. Juliana also co-wrote a National Literacy campaign song for Wal-Mart titled “Words are Your Wheels”, performed by Kenny Chesney, Sarah Evans, Brooks & Dunn, and Phil Vassar. In 2005, Juliana was honored to co-write a song titled “Why We Walk”, which eloquently paints the stories of breast cancer victims and survivors, and was released in conjunction with a book published by Thomas Nelson Publishers in 2005. In the advertising music world, Juliana’s song “Unbroken” performed by Jessica Sierra, an American Idol Finalist, was used in a Sony/Toys R’ Us National Promotion. Juliana has also performed coast to coast in venues ranging from The Bluebird Cafe’, to the to the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville to The Whiskey a go go in Los Angeles.

This project titled, “ Juliana Cole and the Boho Beat” is a blend of vintage big band swing from the 40’s and 50’s with urban loops and pop sensibilities of today. It is a unique combination of modern day torch songs with flirtatious energy, infectious beats and alluring hooks.
